is set upon the edge of the Great Rift Valley and enjoys commanding views over Lake Manyara. The camp is unobtrusive: the tent bases were built using local volcanic stone and the roofs made of thatch so as to blend with the environment. The tents are simple but tastily furnished with en-suite toilet, shower and solar generated hot water. There are 8 “front row” self-contained tents and 10 “back row” tents with shared facilities. Good food is served in the spacious dinning-room, situated in an elevated position so as to enjoy the view. The overall atmosphere of the camp is friendly, peaceful and informal.
