Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

• Arrival: Land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where our representative will meet and transfer you to Charming Eco Homes in Maji Ya Chai, just 15 minutes away.
• Evening: Settle into your eco-friendly room, enjoy an organic home-cooked dinner prepared by the in-house chef, and relax in the serene gardens.
• Overnight: Charming Eco Homes.

Day 2: Acclimatization Day at Arusha National Park

• Morning: After a nutritious breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park, a 45-minute drive from Charming Eco Homes.
• Activities:
• Start the day with a guided walking safari, allowing you to acclimatize while exploring the lush forests and savannahs. Spot wildlife like giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and monkeys.
• Visit Ngurdoto Crater, also known as “Little Ngorongoro,” for stunning views and a chance to spot wildlife.
• Enjoy a tranquil canoe safari (optional) at Momella Lakes, surrounded by flamingos and other waterbirds.
• Lunch: Picnic lunch in the park.
• Afternoon: Continue with game drives, soaking in views of Mount Meru and the diverse ecosystems.
• Evening: Return to Charming Eco Homes for dinner and rest before the climb begins.
• Overnight: Charming Eco Homes.

Day 3: Begin Kilimanjaro Climb (Lemosho Route – Forest Camp)

• Morning: After breakfast, transfer to Londorossi Gate (2,100m) for registration. Meet your mountain crew and begin the trek.
• Trek Details:
• Hike through lush montane forests teeming with wildlife.
• Trekking time: 4–5 hours.
• Elevation: From 2,100m to 2,650m.
• Overnight: Forest Camp in well-equipped, all-weather tents.

Day 4: Forest Camp to Shira 1 Camp

• Trek Details:
• Ascend through the forest zone into the moorland, with views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s western breach.
• Trekking time: 6–7 hours.
• Elevation: From 2,650m to 3,610m.
• Highlights: Stunning views and unique flora like giant lobelias and senecios.
• Overnight: Shira 1 Camp.

Day 5: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

• Trek Details:
• Traverse the Shira Plateau, one of the most scenic parts of the trek.
• Trekking time: 5–6 hours.
• Elevation: From 3,610m to 3,850m.
• Highlights: Enjoy panoramic views of Kibo Peak and the vast plateau.
• Overnight: Shira 2 Camp.

Day 6: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp (via Lava Tower)

• Trek Details:
• Trek to Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp.
• Trekking time: 7–8 hours.
• Elevation: From 3,850m to 3,900m.
• Highlights: Lava Tower’s volcanic formation and the famous Barranco Valley.
• Overnight: Barranco Camp.

Day 7: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

• Trek Details:
• Start with the thrilling Barranco Wall climb, followed by a trek across ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp.
• Trekking time: 4–5 hours.
• Elevation: From 3,900m to 3,995m.
• Highlights: Spectacular views of Kibo Peak and the southern glacier.
• Overnight: Karanga Camp.

Day 8: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

• Trek Details:
• Ascend to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit attempt.
• Trekking time: 4–5 hours.
• Elevation: From 3,995m to 4,673m.
• Highlights: Rest and prepare for the midnight summit push.
• Overnight: Barafu Camp.

Day 9: Summit Day (Uhuru Peak) and Descend to Mweka Camp

• Midnight Start: Begin the climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.
• Trek Details:
• Summit push: 6–8 hours to Uhuru Peak.
• Descend to Mweka Camp: 6–7 hours.
• Total trekking time: 12–14 hours.
• Highlights: Sunrise at the summit and unparalleled views.
• Overnight: Mweka Camp.

Day 10: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Return to Charming Eco Homes

• Morning: Trek through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate for your certificate.
• Trek Details:
• Trekking time: 4–5 hours.
• Elevation: From 3,100m to 1,640m.
• Afternoon: Transfer to Charming Eco Homes for a well-earned rest.
• Lunch: Enjoy a delicious, organic lunch upon arrival.
• Day Room: Relax, freshen up, and savor your accomplishment in comfort.
• Evening: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
